After a strong 2015 including the release of their first artist LP from Genotype, Nurtured Beatz get straight back to the program with a fresh new single from Lincoln-based production duo Soligen & Type 2. With an absolute slew of releases under their belts for the likes of Syndrome, Blendits, Fokuz, Citrus and more, this is a duo to watch and their latest work for Nurtured Beatz sees them on top form.
Kicking things off, the appropriately titled ‘It Gets Lively’ builds tension with a classic creeping techstep intro before dropping into a filthy scuzzed out bassline and heavy, stripped back beats. Expect to hear some rewinds in the rave on this pounding slice of dancefloor pressure. Over on the flip ‘The Rhythm’ takes things deeper, swapping the rolling vibe of the A side for a twisted riddim that slouches all over the track, keeping the listener guessing as it lurches around chaotically.
As an added bonus these tracks have been mastered by the legendary Break, who after more than a decade in the scene knows exactly how to make a track crisp, crunchy and dangerous in all the right places.
