Admirers of dreamy, jazz-infused psychedelic soul are in for a treat this April as The Jazz Cafe team up with Tuckshop to present An Evening Curated by Esa.
On the 27th April, The Jazz Cafe will see Theo Parish collaborator, Andrew Ashong (Sound Signature) headline alongside Dario & Mario of Alma Negra for their debut live show & a night of the finest sounds from further afield and beyond. The evening will be completed with an array of cosmic hand-picked selections from Esa (Worldwide FM).
Referencing legendary contributors such as Roy Ayres, Bill Withers and Marvin Gaye in his mellifluous productions, South London born Andrew Ashong has worked with Detroit techno/Chicago house man Theo Parish and caught the attention of esteemed Radio DJ & label owner Giles Peterson after winning the Track of The Year gong at The Worldwide Awards.
Performing alongside Dario & Mario of Alma Negra, who’s eclectic soundboard draws influence from Jazz to African and Latin-music to Donald Byrd to Fela Kuti will be London based DJ and producer Esa, taking influence from his roots but firmly looking towards the future, Esa embodies a sound without limitations.
