You’ll probably know from past reviews by myself that I have a soft spot for the Demand Records, and when I found out their latest offering this time around was a massive 16, yes that’s right 16 track LP from Eastcolours. Eastcolours aka Andrey Terekhov hails from Vladivostok, Russia has some serious production skills and this album is just one big showcase to what this Russian bad boy can do, trust me this is a stupidly good long player.
‘Chords’ Detail Rmx’ With the help from Detail this gets a nice remix that becomes much more of a hard hitter track that Detail is so well known for and is a welcome addition to this LP. ‘Groza’ Ft Lameduza’ I wasn’t expecting to hear a house, tech vibe on the album but Eastcolours pulls this off very well with this light, airy number, all you need is a beach and a cocktail in hand as the sun goes down for this one. ‘Groza’ Ft Lameduza ‘Formally Unknown Rmx’ This is a more stripped back version of the former track, with a slower tempo with a nice amen break and old skool breaks this has a nice vibe to it.
‘Using Time’ Just like the track before ‘Using Time’ is a chilled out track but this is a bit more edgier and back to the tempo we all love above the 170 bpm region. With lots of atmosphere and with some lovely female vocals thrown in this is a very well produced track that gets even better after the second drop with much harder hitting breaks. ‘Evidence’ Now we are talking! This one is a roller with a nice synth lead intro, once you meet the drop you cant but help move, that with the growling baseline that gives this a well balanced combination of nice meets evil and the echoed vocals over the top make this one a sure fire riddim.

‘Open Your Eyes’ Eastcolours is starting to show his deeper side with one and pulls it off effortlessly. ‘Chords’ Not content with just giving you Detail remix of this track, nope Demand have gone and giving us the original just for good measure! ‘To Start From The Beginning’ Hard hitting Roller alert! Thats all I’m saying on the matter, check it! ‘Could Be’ This is from Eastcolours last release which I reviewed, simply put deep banger! ‘Siberia’ Ft MC Swift’ Dark deep rolling track that has some very well laid down lyrics over the top from MC swift, Eastcolours does some wicked switching up on this one going from light to dark quicker than you can say rah! Quality Track. ‘Everything You Need’ This is all about the nasty heavily processed baseline lead with nice drum work to boot. ‘You & Me’ Another quality track with excellent drum work, breaks and hard stabs, feeling the vibes on this one.
‘Dreams’ VIP Rmx’ This is a monster remix from the original by Eastcolours, Traffic & Noel. I thought the original was deep but this just takes it to another level! ‘Lighthouse’ Ft MC Fava’ This just oozes liquid gold the whole way through. i think this is one of the stand out tracks of the album, and rightly so as its been named after this track. ‘Caught Up’ Ft MC Mota‘ Man this Eastcolours knows how to make tunes geez! This is another well produced dark, jazzy influenced track that is complemented well by MC Mota lyrics. ‘No More Longer’ Ft MC Fava The last track of this mighty LP and Eastcolours has decided to take it down a notch with another chilled out downtempo track. This time with the help of the soulful voice of MC Fava. I can easily see myself putting this one on after the hectic night before and drifting off to sleep to. Pure chilled vibes trust.
All I can say is wow this LP takes you on a massive journey and i loved every single second of it!Massive respect where it is due to Eastcolours on this one, and also to Demand for letting the artist just get on with it and let his creative vibes flow all over this monster 16 track blinder!

PREMIERE: Mark System – Course Of Action
The common theme throughout Mark System’s music is full-bodied drums and heavyweight bass, and this philosophy definitely remains unchanged...
