January is nearly over, the days are finally getting longer and while some are still recovering from the festive debauchery, most of us have already started getting our festival plans secured for the summer.
Among the standard contenders this year;
Outlook,
LIR &
Boomtown (of course) sits
RPMM; a brand new ‘surrealist’ festival taking place in the mesmerising surroundings of Porto in July. Curated by an experienced team of promoters & world-class creative director, the house & techno festival is housed in the 12th century listed building Alfandega, next to the beautiful Douro River. Bringing together international names from the worlds of house & techno, the two-day event boasts a truly escapist experience that also promises plenty of other parties at various other venues around the city.
Announcing the first wave of artists, Innervisions co-founder Âme will be joined by the warm, late night house vibes of Rumors boss Guy Gerber. Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus will join Ancient Moons and chief label act Francesca Lombardo live, with a special appearance from Ghostly International co-founder and Detroit innovator Matthew Dear. House tastemaker Darius Syrossian completes the first stage of the phase one line-up.
Teaming up to provide the sounds and scenes will be esteemed stage partners Half Baked, Meoko, Electronic Voice, Keep On Dancing, Musik@ll & more TBA, bringing years of experience and understanding of how to hold the perfect party. Their lineups will be announced in the phase 2 announcement.
The curators of RPMM have been involved with events on an international scale, so we look forward to big things from the team & with lots more to come in the ensuing weeks including details of the second wave lineup & festival details; RPMM Festival is proving it will be
