Nike Air Max OG Infrared and Paris "Patch"

In the sneaker world there are very few things better than a re work of a classic colourway. When I walked into my local Nike Lab recently and saw the latest Air Max 90 Infrared and Air Max 1 Paris from the Patch pack I truly believed all my birthdays and Christmases had come at once!

For many of us, it came as no surprise that in order to celebrate Nike Air Max day on the 26th March, Nike released a 2015 rework of the classic Infrared.  What did surprise me however (in the best, jaw to the floor, kid in a sweetshop kind of way), was their decision to release a rework of the classic Nike Air Max 1 ‘Obsidian’, undoubtedly one of the slickest, most stylish and understated colourways in history.
So what’s different about this release?  Well, the main feature would be the quirky little Velcro patches you can chop and change to customise your crepe!  Depending on the model, Nike have supplied a wide variety of different patches to be added to the tongue, heel box and mudguard, ranging from the classic Air Max logo to one paying homage to the creator of the Air Max himself, the legendary Tinker Hatfield.  Aside from the patches, I’d have to say my favourite element has to be that the team at Nike have gone back to basics and instead of creating a gaudy, gimmicky colourway they’ve stayed true to the original designs we all know and love with only a few minor, updated tweaks here and there.
All in all I’d say this pack is an absolute must have for any enthusiast, the patch phenomenon has been a sell out in every model and colourway so far so if you’re lucky enough to find your size, DON’T SLEEP ON IT!  And always, if you were lucky enough to cop a pair, hash tag #inreachmag on Instagram and show us your best flicks!

  • After a lengthy hiatus, Back of the Stack returns! This edition plays host to a certified legend of the Drum & Bass scene in @architexink who’s dark, dirty beats have been reverberating through London’s club scene since the late 90’s. If you can think of an iconic London club night, Ink has probably had a residency there; Metalheadz at Bule Note, Hardware at The End and Speed at Mars Bar were all on the list of dancefloors being torn up by Giles on a regular basis.

  • It’s difficult for us to introduce anything 2020 related with any sort of positivity, but just for a moment, lets forget about all the struggle and strive of the past year, and take some time to reflect on some of the finest drum and bass music the past 12 months has had to offer.
.
Speaking on behalf of the entire In-Reach.co.uk crew, we are delighted to share with you our round up of the wonderful tracks released in 2020, that we feel have stuck the middle finger up to this insufferable year!

  • @symmetryrecordings kick things off in 2021 with a 4-track EP from DSP, with his Fake Worlds EP.
.
To celebrate the release, DSP has recorded a meaty 1 hour mix that showcases his ability behind the decks. With sneaky double drops and tight blends, the mix consists of highlight tracks from the last year or two, forthcoming freshness (including, of course, some tracks from the EP) and some classics thrown in for good measure.

  • @temporec present their new next release from the legendary @source_direct - SPEED is a new Tempo Records sublabel & project released on a limited collectors hand numbered 180gram coloured picture disc vinyl with original & legendary producers who helped shaping the Drum & Bass scene.
.
Source Direct, along with Goldie, Photek, Peshay and Wax Doctor, one of a handful of stand-out artists who were signed to major labels in the wake of Jungle’s/Drum and Bass
  • This upload is an important one for us here at In-Reach, not only because we’ve got the opportunity to debut music from a label that we collectively respect so greatly, but also because it presents the music of one of the scene’s most talented, and most sorely missed representatives: the late Andy Skopes. This release sees the breakbeat assassin go slightly of course from his usual dark jungle style to team up with the ever-wonderful, and equally prolific Madcap in a luscious, but oh-so dangerous trio of tracks. These tunes are brimming with emotion, which stems both from the posthumous nature of their release, as well as the sheer elegance and tranquility of the music. We send our salutes to both Andy and Elliot on this release, which is a wonderful reminder of how, through their music, an artists soul can live forever ♥️
