Yesterday the initial information for Horizon Festival was released alongside a new location and some very exciting lineup details. The ones which stuck out most for me on this preliminary first-wave list were AJ Tracey, Oneman, Craig Charles, Midland, Mumdance and Icicle, which are already a healthily diverse bunch of artists. I’ve plugged the actual list below, bear in mind it’s only the first 26 of 120…
Horizon Festival has made an enormous move from its humble beginnings in Bansko, Bulgaria – where I actually ran into In-Reach for the first time back in March 2014 (nostalgic). In 2017 Horizon hits Arinsal, Andorra from March 26th – April 2nd, that’s a full week of skiing and raving, literally don’t know what else I would want. Maybe a spot of paintball actually I do like that, or like watching a film in a hot-tub, maybe a forest rave? Yeah they have all of those too. Actually so gassed.
The team behind Horizon are going to have a big job on their hands making sure that the new area is as much of a set as the last place, but with Horizon getting bigger and more successful every year, we’re confident they’ll just keep on smashing it. Moving from one mountain to two can only be a positive move in my opinion. Another new addition to this year is a new stage called the ‘Hostal’ – an abandoned hotel transformed into a dark fairytale full of looming corridors, amazing set designs and immersive performances. Think it’ll get dark in there.
We’ll be keeping you updated with all of the updates as they come through the pipeline so stay locked in and locked on. Speaking from experience if you can get the cash together this is not one to miss gang.
