Over the past 8 years Boomtown Festival has established itself as one of the absolute greats; The Festival has been at the top of my to do list for years for plenty of reasons, such as:
THE CITY – Boomtown is a 60,000 capacity festival city containing different districts; In this city there is no curfew and no one will question you about your clothing choices or suggest that 9am is not a suitable time to be walking the streets with a cider. Hundreds of different artists and genres, with truly magnificent set designs creating the backbone of this magical City. You can truly immerse yourself on another world.
THE SPECIAL EFFECTS – Boomtown takes special effects to the next level and I’ve heard stories of random mushroom cloud explosions in the distance and fire tornadoes, when you’re in festival mode it is all about the visuals, and it sounds like you can truly lose yourself in this City.
There is only one reason that Boomtown has not yet been ticked off my list, the line-up. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy a huge variety of genre’s, from Hip-hop to Classical, but if I’m going to slum it in a tent for a few days I am going to need my fix of Drum and bass; That is why the first release of the 2017 line-up has got me all kinds of excited, the festival gods heard my cries and they have delivered, check out this line-up:
