#Back of the stack, catching up with artists in the scene every 2 weeks and reminiscing on some of their favourite tracks from back in the day. No real rules, just sharing some musical knowledge and reflecting on the past….
This week we caught up with Jubei who selected 3 of his favourite tracks from the Exit Records back catalogue. We thought it was the perfect opportunity to speak with the main man as he celebrates his new brand new single out now on Exit.
Code 3 – Living Proof
Living Proof aka the rig tester. Often imitated, never duplicated. Spawned a wave of new producers.
Spectrasoul – Melodies
I remember vividly hearing this for the first time. dBridge played it at FWD down Plastic People. There is a recording of that night and you get to hear everyones response to it. For me its a very ‘Exit’ track, slightly different thinking behind it, very futuristic and executed well. Still sounds fresh today, love it.
Calibre feat Spacek – For You Alone
Calibre and Spacek.. say no more really. Calibre in his melancholic, Detroit mood, my favourite Calibre mode. Rolling breaks, wicked bassline topped with Spacek vocals.. vibes!
